Derrylin singer, Anthony McBrien will realise a life long dream this summer as he prepares to support his all-time favourite country music singer, Randy Travis, pictured above.
Anthony has achieved many a success in his music career, whether it be in the shape of awards, giving to charity, or sharing the stage with many top Irish and American acts, including Hal Ketchum and Pam Tillis.
But now, Anthony will not only be going to see his musical hero in concert but he will be sharing the same stage with him in the Royal Theatre in Castlebar on Friday, 7th August and the INEC in Killarney on 8th August.
"I've always loved Randy Travis singing and the first song I ever sang in public was his number one hit, 'Forever and Ever Amen'," Anthony said.
"From the first time that I heard him, I have been a massive fan. I can't believe that the opportunity of sharing the same stage with this man is happening. I'm so excited and honoured to be asked to support him and I would have to thank James McGarrity from JW Promotions."
Anthony is also appearing at the Big UTV Country Fest in the Kings Hall Belfast on Saturday 1st August, taking the stage in the Wild Horse Saloon at 9.00pm.
"This is going to be the show of all shows for lovers of country music with the big acts from Nashville", he explained, " and of course our own talent from Ireland. I'm so glad to be part of it too as it's a great opportunity for the likes of myself to sing in front of a large audience and people who may not have heard me before. And, also for the craic as you meet others in the business that you don't see too often," Anthony said.
